Author Submission Agreement
What you agree to when you submit content to CulinEire.
Your Agreement with CulinEire
By submitting a recipe or article to CulinEire, you confirm that you have read and understood this agreement and that you are submitting content in compliance with it. This agreement is between you ("the Author") and Bearcave Limited ("CulinEire").
You Retain Your Rights
You remain the owner of the content you submit. Submitting content to CulinEire does not transfer copyright ownership to Bearcave Limited.
- You retain full copyright in your original recipes, articles, and photographs.
- You may publish your content elsewhere, including on your own website or blog.
- You may request removal of your content from CulinEire at any time by contacting us.
What You Grant to CulinEire
By submitting content, you grant Bearcave Limited a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to:
- Publish and display your content on the CulinEire website.
- Use your content for promotional purposes related to CulinEire, such as social media posts, newsletters, and site features, with appropriate attribution.
- Store and back up your content as required for site operation.
This licence does not permit CulinEire to sell your content, sub-licence it to third parties, or use it in ways unrelated to the CulinEire platform without your prior consent.
What You Confirm When Submitting
- The content is your own original work, a properly credited adaptation, or a family recipe you have the right to share publicly.
- You have not copied text verbatim from cookbooks, websites, or other publications without explicit permission from the rights holder.
- All images you submit are either your own photographs, correctly licensed (e.g. Creative Commons, stock with appropriate licence), or in the public domain.
- You have not submitted watermarked images, stolen images, or images you found online without verifying their licence status.
- The content does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.
- The content does not contain defamatory, obscene, or unlawful material.
Review and Removal
- All submitted content is subject to moderation review before publication.
- CulinEire reserves the right to reject or remove content that does not meet its editorial or legal standards.
- Authors will be notified of rejection where reasonably practicable.
- In the event of a verified copyright complaint, content may be removed immediately and the Author's account may be suspended.
Legal Framework
This agreement is governed by the laws of Ireland, including the Copyright and Related Rights Act 2000 and applicable EU regulations. Any disputes arising under this agreement shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
