Terms of Use
CulinEire is operated by Bearcave Limited (Company No. 658124), registered in Ireland. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the CulinEire website at culineire.ie. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Who May Use CulinEire
CulinEire is open to all visitors. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or submit content. If you are under 18, you must have the permission of a parent or guardian before registering.
Your Account
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Do not share your password.
- You must provide accurate information when registering. False or misleading registration information may result in account suspension.
- You may only hold one active account. Creating duplicate accounts to evade a ban or moderation action is prohibited.
- You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us at culineire@bearcave.ie.
Content You Submit
When you submit a recipe, article, or other content to CulinEire, you confirm that:
- The content is your own original work, or you have the rights or permission to submit it.
- The content does not infringe any third-party copyright, trademark, or intellectual property right.
- You grant Bearcave Limited a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish, display, and moderate your content on CulinEire for as long as it remains published.
- You retain ownership of your original content subject to the licence above.
- You will not submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, misleading, abusive, or harmful.
- You will not submit spam, promotional material unrelated to food, or AI-generated content presented as original photography.
CulinEire reserves the right to approve, reject, edit, or remove any submitted content at its discretion and without notice.
Food Safety and Allergen Disclaimer
Recipes and food content on CulinEire are provided for general informational and inspirational purposes only. They are not intended as professional dietary, nutritional, or medical advice.
- Always check the allergen information for every ingredient you use, as formulations and labelling can change.
- CulinEire cannot guarantee that allergen information displayed alongside recipes is complete or current. Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the content they submit.
- If you have a food allergy, intolerance, or medical dietary requirement, consult a qualified healthcare professional before relying on any recipe published on this site.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bearcave Limited is not responsible for loss, illness, allergic reaction or other harm arising from a user's own preparation, storage, substitution or consumption of food based on user-submitted recipes. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded under Irish or EU law.
Intellectual Property
The CulinEire name, logo, site design, and platform code are the property of Bearcave Limited and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may not reproduce, copy, or redistribute any part of the CulinEire platform without express written permission.
Individual recipes, articles, and photographs remain the property of their respective authors, subject to any licence granted to Bearcave Limited under these terms.
Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- Use the site in any way that violates applicable Irish, EU, or international law.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or its infrastructure.
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the site in a manner that places excessive load on our servers or circumvents access controls.
- Impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organisation.
- Transmit unsolicited communications, spam, or malware through the site.
- Engage in conduct designed to harass, intimidate, or harm other users or contributors.
Limitation of Liability
CulinEire and the content published on it are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by Irish and EU law, Bearcave Limited makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose of any content on the site.
Bearcave Limited shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, CulinEire, including any loss arising from reliance on content published by third-party authors. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Irish or EU law.
Service Availability
We aim to keep CulinEire available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The site may be taken offline for maintenance, updates, or for reasons beyond our control. We will endeavour to provide notice of planned downtime where practicable.
CulinEire is hosted on third-party infrastructure. While we take reasonable precautions to protect data, we cannot guarantee against data loss due to hardware failure, cyberattack, or other events outside our control. Where possible, we maintain backups of content and take reasonable technical and organisational measures to reduce the risk of data loss. However, no online service or hosting environment can be guaranteed to be completely free from interruption, corruption, loss or technical failure. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes Bearcave Limited's obligations under applicable data protection law.
Changes to These Terms
Bearcave Limited may update these Terms of Use from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes where practicable. Continued use of CulinEire after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer under applicable EU law.
